I have recently purchased two new craft items @ Michael's and I really love them both. First is the Martha Stewart Scoring Board. This large, versitile board allows you to score cardstock and paper with the crisp, flawless lines with measurements every 1/8 inch. It comes with a bone folder, envelope guide and project booklet. The bone folder has its own onboard storage compartment which makes it less likely to get lost. Also inside the compartment is all and any measurements you could need for all sizes of cards.
The second new item I have found is the Tim Holtz/Ranger ink applicator. It's a wooden (stamp-like) handle that uses small pieces of cotton that attach onto a piece of velcro. You dab the ink onto the cotton and rub it onto your project. I think the more you play with it and learn the technique - the better your outcome will be.
