Baby Steps

Here is a card I made for my new second cousin. I used the Baby Steps Cricut cartridge. This was also my first time using the Embossing Plus Cuttlebug folder, Fanciful Labels to make the large label on bottom. What a neat item - it embosses and cuts out the shape, before you remove it from the die plate- you ink the embossed areas.
I used the Swiss dots folder on the little bib and cuffs, plus some EK alpha stickers for the "welcome baby". On the overalls, I added some faux stitching in white, below the two tiny round brads and some on the socks as well.
 Enjoy!

Happy Birthday Cards x4

Here are a few recent birthday cards. i have used the cuttlebug, a fiskars cloud punch for the "frosting",  ribbon (american crafts) Hemptique and MS bakers twine, washi tape  from Target and Recollections brands. The cute little flags are like some that I saw teriberi2 make on youtube! There are also some buttons and skittles that I got off Ebay. For the cupcake "liner" I cut a 1 inch by 1 3/4 piece of (thicker) cardstock, I used DCWV stock, added some tear tape and ran it through my Fiskars paper crimper.
For the red base card and pennants,  I just cut some various width of green yellow and blue, cut the ends to points and added some washi tape to the top and used my Cricut for the scallop & circle, EK cupcake sticker and pink paper is Recollections, stripe and dot are My Mids Eye, Lime Twist- Fly a Kite stack.

Father's Day 2012

Here is a card I made for my Dad for Father's Day. I Googled an image of a 1955 Ford Thunderbird, very similar to the one my Dad owns. This was a color photo that I changed to grey scale . The base of the card is a DCWV black 5.5 x 5.5 square card with a square of light blue(DCWV). I cut some grey card stock and put it along the top and bottom, layered some blue striped washi tape (Target brand) over it and paper punched (slim binding edge) and added 3 mini black brads to the right edge. The title stamp is from Studio G - bought a couple years back.

Puppy Love ~ Treat Holder

Using my Gypsy and Cricut I created a small treat holder for a special dog buddy of mine. I used the George cart to get the rectangle and made it 3 x 8. I welded a paw print from the Cricut Lite cart - Four Legged Friends. After the entire cut was done, I used my MS score board to score the 3x8 paper at the 1,4 and 5 inch lines. I put a bunch of tiny milk bones in to a food safe treat bag (Wilton) and heat sealed it closed. If you dont have a bag sealer, you could just fold and tape the top of the bag shut. I ran just the top portion of the rectangle through the Cuttlebug (Swiss Dots) for a little added interest. I used an EK mini border punch for the top edge of the holder. I stapled (TH - Tiny Attacher- LOVE IT) the top and added some printed adhesive paper over it..Last I added a little simple knot bow to the top center with a glue dot!
Enjoy!

Hippity - Hoppity, Easter's on it's way!

Hello!
Easter is going to be here before you know it! This is the first of many Easter cards I will be making this season. On this card, a square 5 x5 (Studio G) I used for the back ground paper a sheet of Colorbok paper from the Whisper stack. a McGill paper punch for the grass, Martha Stewart punches (3 butterfly, sunburst, and the eggs & basket) Fiskars circle punch. The cute little bunny cuts are from the Sugar and Spice Cricut cart - cut @ 2.5 inches. I emabossed them with the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder.  I accented with Stickles and the stamps are actually 2 different sets, Studio G and My Pink Stamper.

Enjoy and Create!!!

Its been quite some time!

Hello Everyone!
I'm sorry I have been MIA since before Christmas, there has been lots going on, but not too much crafting.
In a nutshell, my sister AND father have been diagnosed, battling and healing from the awful disease of cancer...
My Sister, who had breast cancer, recently finished chemotherapy and had major surgery last week. She is doing ok considering her ordeal. My Dad was diagnosed with a more rare form of blood cancer in mid December. He started chemo in January and from his most recent tests, the cancer seems to have slowed. I have made a few cards here and there, for Christmas and birthdays. My stress levels have been quite high and I haven't had much desire for being crafty, although I am starting to feel better. I have made a few cards recently and wanted to share them. I am sorry that I haven't been around my Blog more often and I hope I haven't let anyone down. I am looking forward to a much craftier Spring and hope that my family's health continues to improve. Thank you to all who have stuck around. I truly appreciate it. Here are a few cards (and a Thanksgiving project) I have done in the last couple of months. Enjoy!

clearance deals @ Walmart

Hi All ~ I went to a Walmart about an hour from where i live today and found some super deals ~ each of these studio G craft supplies were a whopping .20 cents! I picked up 3 mini punches, the bat, spider and witches hat. I also got two of the 4 pack glitters and 3 rolls of ribbon, there is 4 feet on each roll.
They also had the rest of the studio G line of the stickers and paper packs for .20 cents each. Be sure to check your local (or further!) Walmart craft sections.
Gotta love a deal!
